Dear Relational Being,

We will be meeting again soon in our second session focusing on mapping your Relational Weaving Practice. As it is our initial meeting, the session will last approximately 60 minutes and we may go longer only if needed (time allowing).

As a reminder to prepare for this session, all the following sessions, please bring all the materials:

  • 2-3 large sheets of paper (or poster paper)

  • 2-3 regular-sized sheets of paper

  • A journal

  • Various supplies for writing, drawing, and coloring (markers, colored pencils, etc.)

Also make sure you have space to be able to map, place your computer screen somewhere comfortable either besides or behind your mapping area where you have enough space to comfortably draw, doodle and write while being in a conversational process through the screen.

This is an example I found online to give you an idea of what your mappings

could potentially look like:

Once more, remember that there is no wrong way of engaging with the process as it is intuitive, following impulse, and designed to serve you with meaningful perspective.

Looking forward to this journey with you, also if you have the time read below a bit of a conceptual framework for the mentoring and accompaniment process.

Mentorship & Accompaniment for Embodying Coherence

Accompaniment

Accompaniment refers to the relational and present-focused support that emphasizes being with someone during their journey. Accompaniment emphasizes relational presence, emotional support, and journeying together. Key aspects include:

  1. Companionship: Accompaniment involves providing emotional and practical support as a companion, fostering a sense of connection and solidarity.

  2. Process-Oriented: This approach is less about achieving specific goals and more about being present with someone as they navigate their experiences and challenges.

  3. Intimacy and Presence: Accompaniment often involves a deep, empathetic connection, where the supporter is attuned to the needs and emotions of the individual they are accompanying.

  4. Holistic Support: The focus is on the whole person, integrating emotional, psychological, and sometimes spiritual dimensions as individuals explore their paths.

In this accompaniment mapping process we explore and map experiences of dys-regulation. We express creatively their story and mythology, identifying their physical and emotional manifestations, and situating their significance within an ecology of environmental triggers, coping mechanisms and relational dynamics.

Mentorship

The Mentorship model for this body of work is a Guided Learning through Demonstration, which involves guiding individuals through a mapping process to understand concepts, while discovering new insights. Mentorship is provided only when needed as the process is highly intuitive for the most part.

Over time, the need for mentorship will lessen, eventually leading to a phase where it is no longer necessary. At this point, individuals will engage in a more nuanced practice of care and attunement to the dynamic qualities of their mutual accompaniment.

The mentorship and accompaniment mapping for Embodying Coherence establishes a framework and a language for collaboration. Additionally, the accompaniment fosters trust and support, allowing for deeper personal and relational exploration.

Our main Intention through the mapping process is to create visual representations of navigational routes for Embodying coherence,  referring to the practice of aligning and integrating one's thoughts, emotions, and actions in a harmonious embodied way, fostering a more nuanced quality of presence and connection both within oneself and in relationship with others

Sincerely & With Much Love,

Alejandro
