About the Artist,
The project is led by artist Melanie Schambach, who is a rostered artist with the London Arts Council. Melanie has engaged more than 2000 people in creating collective mobile murals, and facilitated more than 1000 workshops on creativity and empowerment to diverse populations. In the process, she engages participants to self-exploration through experiential learning activities, rhythm, movement, storytelling, and visual arts.
The final outcome are large scale story paintings and mural resulting in Arts Installations filled with stories and messages that invite further meaning and reflection in public spaces. Melanie has successfully facilitated many similar community visual arts projects in London and other communities.
